The story of Le Chalet Mounier is also the story of a family. The adventure started in 1879, a time before luxury hotels and ski lifts in Les Deux Alpes. Pierre Balme set up an inn with two rooms and a dining room, which was then taken over by his son Daniel, and later by his granddaughter, Marie. In 1933, Marie opened the first hotel in the resort with her husband, Hippolyte Mounier. In 1971, Robert Mounier took over, with his wife Georgia. They transformed the hotel into an exceptional attraction with swimming pools, a spa and gourmet restaurant that, a few years after opening, won a Michelin star. Today, Robert and Georgia's son Alban and his wife Angélique continue the tradition of hospitality and high quality in this friendly, family-run establishment !
At Le Chalet Mounier, the tradition of hospitality is as old as the hotel itself. As soon as you set foot in the hotel, experience an overwhelming sense of well-being as you take in the chalet with its exposed stone, golden woodwork and warm colours. Our team will make sure this sense of well-being remains throughout your entire stay by tending to your every need and offering an irreproachable service.
