Officially created in 1973, Le Écrins National Park is a vast area protected for its rich fauna and flora, its cultural and historic heritage, and the beauty of its landscapes. The park spreads over an area of 93 000 ha. It is a high mountain environment with over a hundred peaks at more than 3,000 metres' altitude including the famous Barre des Écrins, which reaches 4,102 metres. In the north of the park, our hotel with pool invites you to enjoy this protected space to the fullest. Start by visiting the Maison du Parc de l'Oisans in Bourg d'Oisans, 20 km from Les 2 Alpes. Here, you will find a presentation of the natural riches of L'Oisans, the various mountain crafts, and documentation about the park.
Then, head off along the many footpaths that run through the park.
Right by the hotel, set off along the path that leaves from La Danchère and brings you to Lauvitel Lake. Families might want to choose the easy walk that takes you from Poursollet Lake to Fourchu Lake. On the way, you might come across eagles, bearded vultures or even griffon or monk vultures. A little further, discover a land that has been preserved from the noise of the world: le Valbonnais. On a trek there, you might come across Alpine ibex, chamois, golden eagles, as well as admiring the spectacular flora: Haller's anemone, yellow star of Bethlehem, orange lily, and Alpine poppies.
